I don’t have a great deal of “Made in Canada” glass, but I couldn’t resist this at a local auction.
There were a number of Canadian companies that produced pressed glass with a Maple Leaf motif. This neat piece even has a leaf on the finial.
This piece is likely over 100 years old. Do you think it is called “ECPG” – Early Canadian Pressed Glass? Doesn’t have the same ring as “EAPG” – Early American Pressed Glass.

OK, gotcha, I agree that EACG is appropriate.

The “ring” has nothing to do with a comparison between American and Canadian glass or glass from any country. Basically, non-flint goes thunk when tapped although some resonance can be heard on handle-less items like bowls or goblets. A belltone in varying intensity is the typical reaction of the earlier flint glassl. A UV test with the right kind of lamp shows non-flint having a green to yellow-green tint, flint reacts with a silver-blue that can have a purple or lavender tone to it. Thanks for the info. I have used an ID site in the past with luck. I will keep you in mind and put this out there in case others want to use your services.
The “ring” I was referring to however…..was the fluidity of the abbreviation ECPG compared to EAPG.
