Fostoria June Topaz Ice Bucket (5)Isn’t this pretty?  It must have been something to have a complete bar, including anFostoria June Topaz Ice Bucket ice bucket, sitting on a side table – mirror beneath or above the sparkling crystal.

My decanters sit on a bar fridge, not quite the same pretty picture.

I have had pieces of June in blue, pink and now the topaz.  I think I prefer the blue.

Fostoria produced a similar etch called Romance.

Paden City Radiance Ice Bucket with Oriental EtchIn the book Paden City Glass:  identification and values, the authors indicate that this line was likely developed to match Blue Willow dinnerware.

It does very closely resemble the patterns easily found on new and vintage china sets.Paden City Radiance Ice Bucket with Oriental Etch (2)

It is pretty.  It’s actually quite small, but I’d never seen it before and wanted to see it up close.  I gather pieces were made in amber, pink and ruby as well.

Ice Bucket (2)Every home needs an ice bucket.  Unfortunately we never remember that we own it and never have used it.  My guy found this treasure and brought it home.  Pretty.

I’m always amazed at how many variations there are on the pinwheel design itself.
