There is something about cobalt glass that is very arresting.  I used to have the prettiest cobalt rooster, but I gave it to my mother who has a collection of cobalt vases and bottles.  This butter dish is the only cobalt glass I own.  I don’t know how old it is.  I have seen references to its 1970s origins.  I bought it in Lindsay, I think, while on a ramble.  It is very attractive.
