We went to the Santa Claus Parade yesterday and afterwards wandered around the shops.  The local St. Vincent de Paul shop had four of these stems for sale.  I knew I had seen the stems in a book so thought I’d pick them up.

Turns out that they are a Fostoria blank – #5099/5299.  I am guessing that the 5099 represents the blanks with an optic and the 5299 items have no optic.  If this is accurate (and this is a wild guess) then my glasses are 5099. Replacements.com dates this stem as 1929-1936.

The colour is very pretty.
