UPDATE to this post…..As hoped, the wizards at the Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum identified this tumbler in no time flat………The embarrassing part is that I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN what is is, since I have two compotes in this pattern. I guess I just wasn’t seeing the pattern because it wasn’t a compote.

My eldest has decided that she wants interesting, vintage drinking glasses, and white vintage dinnerware. I love having something to look for!
Last weekend she and I were out antiquing. I bought her this tumbler in green. She took it home with her (of course) and I was kicking myself that I hadn’t taken a photo of it.
That glass cost $9.00 in an antique shop. THIS weekend I found three of these amber tumblers in a thrift shop – for $1.00 each. Of course I bought them all.
I don’t know their history, but I have posted it online at the Elegant and Everyday Glass Forum (great site) and hope someone far more knowledgeable than I will recognize it. Just can’t decide if I should spend $15.00 to mail them to her (they’re heavy). May not see her for a bit…..and everyone loves a surprise parcel, don’t they?

P.S. The surprise parcel won’t be much of a surprise now that I’ve read this post…don’t mail them! I’ll see you next week.
Only the best for you darling. xo
Yay! So exciting. And, mum, remember we saw the same glasses in the second antique shop for $18 apiece! You got such a deal.
