I bought this decanter and the six glasses for $4.00 at a church bazaar in Orono.  They wouldn’t have caught my eye at all, except for the little clover etch.  I have absolutely no thoughts about the age, history, provenance, etc.  In fact…..I have often thought that they don’t belong with my other glasses on the shelf.

My daughter was home a few weeks ago and admired them.  I was gobsmacked!!!!!  However it did make me take a closer look.

The first thing I noticed was the incredible amount of dust covering all pieces.  I didn’t clean them before I took the photos, so you might notice the dust as well!  Oh well….too many pieces of glass, too little time.

Upon reflection I decided that these glasses weren’t hideous.  I think they will be fine for a summer beverage – Sangria anyone?  I’ve not used them yet….but am planning to use them at some point this summer
