Isn’t this cute?  I have a number of hens, for A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y no reason at all.  Started with an accidental purchase and then of course I had to round out the display.  I bought this locally – at an auction I think.  I don’t know much about this type of glass.  You can’t tell from the photo, but there’s a transluscence in certain spots.

The number four, or the letter “h”  is marked on the top and bottom.  No idea, yet, what that means.  Hope someone else does.

I am NOT NOT NOT buying any more hens on nests (although I don’t have a green one yet).  If I see a cheap one in person, I might be tempted.  But….shipping and handling costs aren’t appealing.
