I had the most wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. Took Friday off and me and my man went on an antiquing tour of the Niagara Region, en route to visit my mom. I didn’t buy alot, but I have some treasures to show that I had bought online and had hand delivered to my mom’s house (a cousin’s girlfriend allowed me to ship them to her New York State address and then she kindly dropped them off at my mom’s place).
I bought this vase
in Crystal Beach. I know that there are many vases of hands, heads, shoes, etc. I don’t own any, although I am looking for the ‘right’ hand vase. I saw this and thought – YES!
I ran a search online and found a number of the same pieces for various prices and not much information. A couple listings say that this was a florist’s vase from the ’80s. Could definitely be. It’s kind of neat and I am looking forward to putting some spring/summer blooms in it.
9 pieces – Cool! I like your style.
My piece is packed away in a box in my garage. I’ve never thought about putting a candle in it, but I imagine it would look great.
I’d be happy to showcase photos of your collection, if you are ever interested.
Thanks for sharing.
cheers

How funny, I just bought this today at an estate sale and googled Milk Glass Head and your image was the first one to show up. I know you would have loved this sale I went to. I’ve commented on your site before about my milk glass collecting and this sale must have had about 200 pieces! I walked away with about 9 pieces, it was hard to not buy things I already had. But this woman collected glass of all colors. Two rooms were full of glass and then more in the kitchen and basement!
Back to this piece, I hadn’t seen one before. Right now I have a votive candle in it and its funny to see the illuminated head glowing!
