I bought six of these pretty glasses ages ago here in Town at Under the Toadstool (great place!). I was surprised to find that I hadn’t posted them. They are marked “MADE IN Edinburgh SCOTLAND” and I think the pattern is called Appin.
I struggle with the cut patterns, such small differences between some patterns! Replacements.com shows the pattern, but not this shape. I’ve seen this shape referred to, in other sites, as a claret, but I don’t really know for sure. Replacements dates them 1981-1987.
They have a surprising weight to them, a very brilliant shine and a pretty ring when pinged. Beautiful pieces.
