Spread the love

Fostoria Willow (2)I’d seen this etch in books but not in real life.  It’s easy to remember and when I came across four of these sherberts/champagnes, in Virginia I think, I knew what they were.

The stem is Fostoria’s #6023 – Colfax and the etch is #335.  The stem is amazingly attractive – very solid.

I’ve read that the Willow etches, made by a number of companies, were produced to match the many sets of blue and white china that were popular back in the day.  Fostoria Willow (4)My daughter tells me that blue willow china is making a current resurgence in fact.  Even so, she doesn’t want these glasses!

I like their simplicity.
