I have stopped buying, for the most part, small liqueur, cordial or sherry glasses. No one want to use these small glasses any longer.
However these glasses are very pretty. I haven’t been able to identify them. For some reason I think they are European. They have a similar shape and ‘feel’ to pieces of Baccarat that I have identified in the past.
As always, if anyone knows anything about this glass i would be grateful for the information.

I have been picking up these little glasses one or two at a time for awhile. They are dainty, delicate and pretty.
They are also tiny. I think they would be considered small liqueur glasses. I read somewhere that they are also called pony glasses. Can’t remember why.
I have seven of three different shapes and etches. But they look nice together. No idea where any of them came from.

Isn’t this a pretty colour? A very deep, rich green. I don’t know if it has a more descriptive name for this particular tint.
I don’t know the name of the etch. I have to take a clearer photo of it and repost on the Elegant & Everyday Glass Forum.
According to my only book on Central – Central Glass Works: the Depression Era by Tim Schmidt – line 2005 came in many pieces of tableware and in many colours. Rose, amber, orchid tints and crystal, and gold encrusted are examples.
This piece is 7 inches across and stands six inches. The stem has nine lobes and it was moulded in three pieces.
Central Glass closed its doors in 1939, so the piece predates this time and according to Mr. Schmidt was observed in a 1928 catalog.
