Here is an etch that I think is more commonly seen in the United Kingdom. I had picked up stems for ages and hadn’t been able to identify it until I came across a photo on ebay. Then I ordered the publication -Pall Mall Glass by Hugo Wildblood. I learned that these glasses were made in the first half of the 20th century. They were made by various factories and that the high quality pieces were attributed to Kosta. There are a number of pieces available. I have three or four shapes. Very pretty.
Are you selling any Pall Mall pieces, like a bowl or jar etc as I would be very interested.
Regards
Hi – thnx for the comment. I only have stems that I would sell. I have one bowl, but it was my mother-inlaw’s and I have promised my kids that I won’t sell any of her pieces. Sorry. I watch on ebay for pieces – always curious. Looked at two decanters this week, as I don’t have one. But..the shipping is always so high. You rarely see any pieces in Canada and when you do they are stems. Are you a serious collector of Pall Mall?
Yes, I am now a serious collector. I have also changed my contact email as you will see.
I have a number of stems, decanters, jugs, bowls and a pickle jar and would like to add to my collection for my children.
Hi – Don’t know how I missed your comment. Didn’t “do’ what it was supposed to and alert me to its arrival. Happy New Year. I haven’t acquired any new pieces. You hardly see them in Canada, most often from the U.K. The few times I’ve found them here, the vendors haven’t known what they are. Do you have Hugo Wildblood’s book? It has a list/photos of many different pieces. I bought it on ebay I think. cheers. d.b.
I have various Pall Mall glasses for sale, but was anxious for any background knowledge I can gather.
I recently bought a couple of tumblers that are so delicate, but nice to drink from that I shall be keeping them.
I’ve not seen the tumblers ‘live’, only in my book. Mr. Wildblood’s book is the only one I’ve seen referenced. They are pretty aren’t they? thnx for your comment.
